SLR Frenzy

Whew. I started breathing only before Photography class yesterday. And it was because of the same subject.

Two weeks ago, I already bought an SLR Manual. To fast-forward the excruciating story, I had the school technicians check it and there was a problem with its shutter speed dial. It will cost me wealth, I guess, to have it repaired. I returned it and had my money back. The following week, I was dying to find another SLR from our junior and senior friends. To fast-forward it again, I found out that most of them don’t want to sell their professional cameras instead, they want it just rented. We were also given an advice that it is better for us to rent than to buy because two weeks before the end of the term, we will be allowed to use Digital Cameras.

However, the problem with a sentimental fool like me is that I want to keep memorable stuffs. I am sure that that SLR will mean something to me afterwards. I keep quizzes. I even keep candy wrappers and dried flowers. What more an SLR?

I did not have a choice but to rent instead of buying. I can call it ‘my own’ for the whole semester, though. And I’m already fancying the camera that I have rented!

Well, there might be a reason why He didn’t let me buy aside from a test of faith. (But I really want the cam! *sobs*)

Altered

I look younger than my age; that is almost always the comment of mostly elders about me. I never looked at it as a criticism. In fact, I honestly enjoyed that notion. It means that when I grow older, I will still look young. However, I am also wondering what will I look like if I’ll grow a little more.

It is funny but after I had this latest haircut of mine, one of the remark is that I have matured. Now, I’m disoriented.

I don’t know who first noticed it. But consider these:

In a text, Martha’s Aldrich told me, based from my photo albums here, I have matured.

While waiting for Logic class, Ma’am Chi (Bayot) passed. Told me my hair was nice. Then said, “Nag mature ka sa buhok mo. Di ka na mukhang nene.” Haha. What a term. I could have killed, honestly. But I love Ma’am Chi. Because of her, I am now a self-proclaimed psychologist.

In the Guidance and Counseling Office, we met Ching. She grabbed my ID and laughed. I have matured, she said. “I know”, I replied.

These are not all. I forgot the others. Am I to be happy? Well, I am really growing! Hope it also comes in the form of height!

Laugh At Windows Chat

There were maddening floods. There were nonsensical messages. There was a race on who’s to send first. There were defamatory headlines. There was a teacher cursing. There were names that were deliberately made as a laughingstock. And, there was fun! It is so amusing how an NSS windows chat made us cackle so hard.

When Ms. Cajandab went out, she made us experience the windows chat (I wonder why Ms. Mayuga did not let us, nor even locked the screen when she’s discussing) and she made a bidding that we shouldn’t send continuous messages or the PC will hang up.

The cat went out and the mice were alone, the latter rejoiced. In the first round, since we were naughty, the PC hanged. In the second round, which later also hanged, the fun started. I don’t know who started the fun. But when it did, it was almost non-stop.

Some of the flooded messages were of Des’s. I guess all contributed to the nonsensical messages. In the race, I was one of the racers with Mars, Shai and still, Des. Then, the defamatory headlines. It started with…

CEZCAROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Then, as I have said, it was almost non-stop.

There was also one for Irish but it was long and the messages ran fast. But the CEZCA banter was so evident to be missed.

And a lot more that I couldn’t remember at this time typing. Then Denise took over the main PC and thus there was a teacher cursing! I forgot what it was. Then there were the names as a laughing stock!

The fun ended when our professor came back and locked the PC. I was then typing, “Headline bukas, ngayon ang broadcast.”

Way back, during highschool, I did not enjoy this kind of Net School Support chat. I find it too wayward then and the messages came was really fast that it was almost impossible to read. Today, I had one of my most hilarious chat ever to date!
