Fieldtrip: Overnight in Baguio
The journey was great...this wasn't my first, but this was far off memorable...
At Sucat, Alo started to share his hot and chilli pancit canton. Gracia and I did the same. I had my burgers, she had her pancit canton and pan de sal with ham.
Reaching NLEX, almost all was snoozing. But the heck was Niccolo! I can hear his Mp3 playing so loud...and worst, it's rock. But damn! I need to sleep. I WANT to sleep. So sleep...sleep...spleep
At 3: 15, we reached Siesta in Tarlac. We stopped for a while. Some peed and others, and that includes me, waited inside the bus. Then Ding commenced saying,
"P$%#@^ I*&^ mo Niccolo (with Nyx outside and as a joke)! Ang lakas ng Mp3 mo!!!"
After 20 minutes refreshment, we left there and we continued to travel. It took me minuted before I commenced my forty winks. Sleep...sleep...
I could have sworn, while sleeping, we were inches from our seats jumping. I opened my eyes to see if that was real and it is. But I continued my deep sleep and I know, we were already there at Baguio.
I felt the urge to see the view. It was dark. It was misty. But, it wasn't scary. I can still feel my eyes aching due to lack of sleep. I tried to close it for once and when I opened it again, the beautiful dark sight was fading bringing the morning lightness.
It was 6: 15 when we stopped at Baguio Cathedral. We had to have mass but Elen, Alo, Chester and I really need to pee badly so we searched for a restroom but the church's CR was still closed. We walked down that high stairs going to the Session Road and found Pizza Volante straight ahead. We are not that idiot no to know that facilities are for costumers only, so Chester bought a hot chocolate.
I can hear myself breathing so fast inside the church. Good thing, it ended so soon. Well, I've experienced my mouth emitting frosty air like in Koreanovelas that made me so excited. But, we were already starving that's why we ate at McDo in Session Rd. Alo and I had a Longganisa Burger, Hashbrown and a hot chocolate...of course, we want a stirrer so we asked for two. But the crew said.
"It's concentrated."
Ahhh. Sorry ha, here in Manila kasi, it's not! Stupid!
But we don't have time for petty quarrels so we just enjoyed.
At past 8am, we reached PMA. we just took poses there (in which I like), then after an hour, we left and went to Camp John Hay. But this wasn't as interesting as this (convo with Irene and me), going there.
Irene said, "Who want's Ritter Sport?"
I replied, "Wow! Ritter Sport!"
"Favorite mo rin yan Sheena?"
(Without the idea of being nambabara) "HINDE!"
My classmated laughed and she said, "Bwisit ka!"
Getting the Ritter Sport Cornfalkes, I said "Mas gusto may raisins"
Next was Ibay's Silver Shop who sells 92.5% silver and the Weaving Factory. When Elen and I finished the tour, Harry or Kagandahan for us (our tour guide) looked at me and said,
"Ni Hao Ma!"
I just nodded and when I'm out of his earshot, I told Elen why. Why did he greet me like that.
"Mukha ka kasing Instik eh"
"Instik ba yun? Parang Vietnamese eh"
And when we got inside the bus, Elen told it to some Simons and the "Ni Hao Ma" ek ek chuva everness spread among Nomis.
Next, we check in Supreme Hotel and we had our lunch.
Chicken, Shrimp and Rice with Soup. The menu that I wasn't glad of.
Reaching our rooms, I opened the TV, and Joei made prank calls to our classmates. We had a great time till it was 2pm and we need to follow our next itinerary which was Botanical Graden. But we have a problem first, we took a bath and changed clothes that's why we are now wearing a coloured shirt which was supposed to be WHITE. But, I DON"T WEAR OTHER WHITES AND I LOVE THE BlACK TOP THAT I'M WEARING so they didn't bother us again.
We were having dilemmas. We don't know if we'll going to buy Peanut Brittles, a bag and other Pasalubong there or in the Minesview or in the Flee Market. But we decided to buy the others in the next itineraries. Instead, we bought key chains and a Bohemian Necklace worth 25 peso because here, it costs 160+.
Next, we had 15 minutes picture taking in The Mansion then off we set to Minesview Market. We bought there Peanut Brittles, Choco Flakes, Choco Mallows, Lengua de Gata and a bag. After an hour shopping and seeking for a better price, we went to The Groto. We have different counts of the stairs. But one thing's sure, it's 250+.
We went back in our Hotel after it and had our dinner. Almost all of us were starving.
Carbonara, Hamonado and Asparagus soup (I'm expecting a BOUILLABAISSE!). This was better than our lunch.
Instead of going to our room, Rm. 303, we went to Rm. 224- Alo, Jonas, Chester and Ding's room. We were having fun inside, eating and laughing. Jonas and Alo even jumped and wrestled over the beds. Prank Calls will never be left and when Alo dialed Mitch's room...he had a surprise...
"Ni hao Ma!"
Alo was then speaking in a fake Chinese...
Then, "P@#^%$ I*&@ mo Alo!"
And we laughed when he told us his reply. We returned in our rooms after a while then while supposedly taking a nap because at midnight, they'll be swimming and we'll wtach Odyssey, Elen and I fell into a deep sleep...a nice, refreshing sleep...until it was 5am.
I could have screamed! We haven't watched the film! The dim light was still on and it was like evening.
We started talking about how we ended up there...and when Irene and Gracia woke up, we turned on the TV and watched Myx Premiere. Irene opened our door wide and she made a full blast volume. We sang "You're Still the One" by Shania Twain but the bellboy interrupted and said,
"Paki hinaan lang po ang TV dahil marami pang guests and natutulog!"
So we did, nut continued "Stay" by Carol Banawa. Then we sang "Unchained Melody" in Spanish Version and we just laughed. We changed the channel in Sky Cable Baguio. It was a viedeoke channel and we sang "Betcha Bye Gollie Wow" (Sorry for the spelling!). But we got apathetic so I changed it to a Chinese Tv Show.
We watched Odyssey while making turns in taking a bath. When we finished, but not the film, they we're all done with their breakfast. But we made it not so late.
Tortang Talong, Beef Steak and Hot Chocolate. The breakfast that suits me fine.
Strawberry Farm- that was after breakfast. We bought strawberries but I regretted not buying lettuce and tomatoes! After the farm we went to Burnham Park but we headed first to have a lunch in SM Baguio, McDonalds. When we came back, via FX we rented a boat and we sailed all the way.
It was 4:20 when we got complete and we headed to Plaza Luisita, Tarlac to have a dinner at Jollibee.
We actually had a movie marathon going home...Chasing Liberty, King Kong and A Walk to Remember. When the latter ended, we were nearing the school. And finally, we were there.
It was such a nice trip.
Something memorable...
Soemthing to be cherished...
And something I'll be missing...
No matter how I want this to last forever, it will never happen because time will always run. But still, this experience I've just had will always be in me.
I will never forget this...
