Mass at NBN 4

Sunday- the first day of our semestral break. And like a day, it must be well started with a prayer. But unsual it is that what we had wasn't an ordinary mass. It was a healing mass presided over by Fr. Paller and Fr. Lino Nicasio, and it was held at NBN 4.

We woke up early and we left home at 6am for the 8am mass. The early morning streets was already invaded with our convoy. Before seven we reached the station, they unloaded their things and prepared for the Live coverage of the mass. As for my sis, my bro and I, we were just wandering around the dark studio. Five minutes to eight, we were briefed about the cues that they will give, the responses that we should be participative of and our faces- that we should be natural of if ever the camera roams around us. The mass almost started when I urged my sister to transfer at the near back because we were sitting at the second row. But the gratification wasn't given to me. Mass started and the sponsor, our community which is the Family Renewal Movement at BF Resort Las Piñas. Homily: my father was asked about non-verbatim, "What is your greatest possession?" Then homily was it also when Fr. Paller asked if we are willing to give our cellphones and other possessions just for Him. Then my father gave his instantly to him. Well, that interaction with the priest means that the camera was also with us. And geek! Hehehe! Although that was very very VERY fine with me since I will be dealing with cameras sooner and hope not later. I am praying hard that the camera loves me too!

The mass was only the few ones that I get to put my whole attention to. Not because there were cameras or anything but because of the message and the strong appeal of the priest's interpretion to the gospel. I believe that it is important for them to relate with people well. If they cannot catch people's attention amidst all distraction then the Homily doesn't justify its cause. It was also a special mass because of the healing- as what I've said already. My father, as declared by the Thallium Scan at Manila Doctors Hospital by cardiologist Dr. Leachon, was already at a good condition but the healing mass will make it more fuller (and of course, our faith to the fullest). And like him, I pray that many others will also be healed by their unceasing faith as its not always medicine that counts.
