Prom Practices...Currently and Yesteryear

Yesteryear- and I can't beleive that I'm reminiscing- the prom made me nervous. Why, if I got Ferrero Rocher and a stuffed heart from a suitor in which...which...remained a suitor. Hahaha! And...I'm just kidding. Well back to normal...back to my normal psyche...back to what I'm saying, it- Prom 04-05- made me tense because I need to deliver a speech. And it is a speech for the Turnover Ceremony. And mine is the Bin of Treasure although I'm not the class treasurer. I'm the Vice President.

And aside from that looming nerve-racking speech, I haven't composed any! But thanks to Revo, I managed to have one BEFORE the day itself. But I revised it and that made me capable of memorizing it. But thanks that I've delivered it properly...well.

Currently- although I'm not the one who will deliver the speech- because it's still the treasurer for my class who'll have it- I'm happy. Because...my partner is fetching. And...he looks like Harry Potter! Well, he's not new to me because he's the one my tropa and I had been hunting for! And I mean the literal hunting in our lower years!

He's polite and well mannered. And he's a member of Las Piñas Boys Choir- the prestigious boys choir. And we had this little conversation...and this is not verbatim

Well..that's how it goes and I'm cherishing it (a lot of my batch and classmates are envious! ROTLF!). And I told him not to be late! Because if he did, I'm dead!

Pending Books...

...and that is of course, to read.

Huh. Blimey! I never thought that it will pile up that much! Am I that sluggish?

Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte. The book I bought at National Bookstore ages ago: April of 2003. And still, since summer of 2005, idle Sheena haven't finished it yet. Worst, I wasn't even on half!

But can you blame me if I feel that it's too rustic? It is subtle and was written in a skillful way but the chapters are too long and it is named only with numbers. But I do promise to finish it. Maybe not now, maybe sooner. The money I used to buy it is mine and it will be such a big waste if I'll let it rot like a trash.

Next was Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Spinner's End. That's the farthest I've read. I'm already dying to finish it but time is scarce. Anyways, I will be able to read this after Don Quixote by Miguel Servantes Saavedra. This will be for our Book Report No. 3 (and it's ironic that Movie Analysis No. 4: Helen of Troy will be submitted ahead of it) and the book my mom bought in for Php 295.00 at National was unabridge and it is thick.

Luckily, or can you call it lucky, I saw The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux in our library and I'm super excited to read it. That's why the others will be next in line. Glad Ms. Morales moved our due of the report to Feb. 16. And I'm calling all the saints in heaven to help me finish all those rubbish!!!

Well, I'm not yet finished. I'm PLANNING to buy Memoirs of A Geisha and find the first installment of The Chronicles of Narnia. And I forgot what it is. The Lion, The Witch and The Wardorbe is the second installment. Adn I want to read Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre and Pride and Prejudice. Well, I'm beggining to like Alexander Dumas's The Count of Monte Cristo and I want to buy it!

To worsen the worms in me, I want to read Shakespeare's Othello, MacBeth, Antony and Cleopatra and The Merchant Of Venice. Huuuuuuh. When will I finish all these?! And I'm not even joking! I'm serious. I'm going to read all these...in due time!
